Royal Sonesta has a balcony that wraps around Bourbon Street and also Conti, as they are on the corner. Make sure you get a street view room!

The kind you see in the movies during Mardi Gras. Did you list one of them and I missed it ?
Thanks

I am hoping to get back to New Orleans soon! I am interested in checking out the Audubon Cottages, as I just bought a print of one of his paintings from that era.
My favorite place to stay is the Omni Royal on Royal Street. It is away from the hustle and bustle of Bourbon St. but has great balconies and beautiful rooms. One year, I was even able to get a Black Friday deal and was able to stay in a Suite for the price of a King room.

Hi Adam, Hotel Mazarin is part of the Five Star Alliance. I’m not sure which type of room you stayed in, and I am sorry that you didn’t find your room up to spec. I hope you mentioned this to hotel management.

While there are some aspects of the hotel that are great it is definitely a 4 star hotel at best. The bathrooms are very plain and horribly laid out as well as not being maintained to a 5 star standard. Shower heads were old and full build up. You could where they tried to cover up water damage with paint instead of fixing it as well. Rooms are definitely great size and loved the outdoor spaces they provide at the hotel but the rooms are very thin walled as well and you could hear everything from the other rooms and outside.
