You could possibly think that it might be noisy but surpisingly Bali Island Villas are a tranquil peaceful haven right in the heart of Seminyak. Owned and managed by expat Kiwis the villas are spotlessly clean beautifully furnished and each one has its own private pool. There is also a spa on site using natural local products and once you experience a Creme Bath for your hair you will try to fit another one in before the journey home -it is that good. I experienced the best head, shoulder and back massage as well as hair treatment ever! At Bali Island Villas their mantra is “guests come first” and that is so evident in how guests are treated. I would highly recommend Bali Island Vilas as a great place to stay. We are so pleased we found this little gem and we can’t wait to go back again.

Also to further add “things to do in Seminyak” my husband and I experienced a cooking class at the Spicery in Seminyak Village which was super fun, informative, hands on and of course eating what we actually made was a taste sensation – absolutely delicious. It had to be a highlight of my holiday.

I have been to Bali about 5 times (as my daughter worked a 20min flight away). I have stayed in Seminyak, Legian and Kuta. Kuta was OK but the traffic to get anywhere and back was just horrendous so Seminyak would be my fave. I have stayed in a villa once and hotels the rest of the time. I think villas are good fun if there is a group of you. When we were there the two guys taking care of the place were around a lot, if we wandered into the kitchen they would come in, not let us do much. A bit suffocating to be honest. There are lots of great hotels there so I think that would be me next time. One restaurant I loved was the stunning Merah Putih – worth a visit, so impressive.
